Delhi Airport

E-boarding gates have now been installed at all three terminals of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. This new facility allows for faster and more seamless processing of departing passengers across all flights.

The contactless e-boarding gates have boarding card scanners, which allow passengers to flash their physical or e-boarding cards to verify flight details and once done, they can proceed for security checks.

The e-boarding gates have been installed at Terminals 3 and 2, while deployment at Terminal 1 is currently underway. The touchless approach reduces boarding time and increases traveller safety by minimising the touching of facility surfaces and people interaction.

Keeping the demand of travellers in mind, Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport has reduced the cost of the rapid RT-PCR testing facility available at the airport. The cost of the test, which was earlier reduced from Rs.4500 to Rs.3900, has now been reduced to Rs.1975:

Bengaluru Airport

To ensure that international arrivals have a safe and seamless experience at the Kempegowda International Airport, the authorities have ramped up the facilities at the airport.

The airport has added 50 new testing machines, scaling the hourly testing capacity. Earlier, testing was underway with eight express PCR test machines.

Passengers will also be provided with food and beverage services, and even free Wi-Fi time from 45 minutes up to four hours.

The seating area of the airport has also been expanded with proper physical distancing in mind. Furthermore, swab tests are being collected as early as possible before immigration and customs screening so that passengers receive their reports before they collect their baggage.

The new passenger-friendly moves at the three airports is sure to provide greater convenience to flyers!
