In a first, Indian Railways has recently inaugurated a digital kiosk at the Vishakhapatnam stations that allows free video calling facility among other services.
The digital kiosk is one of its kind. It is a Human Interactive Interface (HII) system and is a combination of a digital kiosk and a billboard. It is developed by the Bhubaneswar-based Nexyite Infotech Services Private Limited.

There are various passenger-friendly features of the newly put digital kiosk. Some of these include:
- Free video calling
- 24*7 CCTV cameras for security
- The kiosk provides information about local sightseeing spots, train information and weather
Previously, in September 2019, a unique gaming zone was installed at the Vishakhapatnam Railway Station consisting of various virtual reality games such as gun fighting, air hockey and more.
