Cavalry Villa

Wonderful experience! The hosts were extremely supportive, and it's clear that a lot of thought went into creating this place. The meals were delicious, and we enjoyed a restful break before continuing our journey.

I stayed three nights at Cavalry Villa, a beautifully restored home in central Bikaner, managed with military efficiency by a former army colonel and his wife. My room, the Wedgwood, was quite comfortable, the WiFi was reliable, and breakfast was generous. I also enjoyed a couple of nice dinners in their restaurant. The downside is that the villa is located right across from the train station, where trains run late into the night and start early in the morning, with loud horns at each departure that are extremely loud.

The owner was very rude to us, and the food was quite average, not worth the price. Overall, it was a bad experience with unusual rude behavior from the owner, who was not welcoming at all. I would advise against wasting your money here. (Edit part) This is a reply to the owner: first, there were only 3 of us, not 7, and we did not order fries or ice cream; our bill was completely different. You should do your homework and respect your customers. We paid our bill and taxes, and you have no right to say we can only stay for a limited time. The staff was good, but the owner was very rude. We were there for just 1.5 hours, and the staff informed us the food would take about 40 minutes, so obviously it would take around 1.5 hours. I personally came from Jaipur, but the experience was very disappointing. We also own four properties and understand how businesses like this work, but we never treat our customers this way. The owner dismissed everything. Respect your customers.

The owner was extremely rude! When we left a review, they responded by completely twisting the facts. First, there were only 3 of us, not 7 as they claimed. Second, we ordered pasta and brownie, not fries. Our bill was actually 800, and we're not complaining about the price, but they falsely said we only ordered fries—no one would pay 800 for just fries. Also, it's normal to stay somewhere for about 1 to 1.5 hours when visiting. We only took some photos, and when we started recording a video, the owner told us not to take photos or reels because it's a coffee shop. That's not how you treat customers. It wasn't even a reel, just a casual video. They also told us the food would take half an hour to prepare, so obviously we wouldn't just sit there doing nothing for that long, which is why we took photos.

The villa was extremely disappointing and the owner was very rude.
