Coorg Tiger Eye Backwater Resort

Great location and lovely property. The rooms are large and roomy. The atmosphere is peaceful and quiet. The food quality was lacking. Breakfast options were better. The bar was not open yet. The rooms needed better cleaning. The bathrooms had an unpleasant odor. Some improvements are needed.

A great spot to unwind and relax, set in a lovely environment with stunning backwaters and a pleasant atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

Enjoyed a great stay at this hotel

Here is my honest feedback after spending 3 nights at this hotel: 1. Food quality and flavor: Sadly, the food was quite disappointing. The breakfast buffet offered very few choices, and the taste was lacking. I tried the mutton curry for dinner one evening, and it was completely bland. The mutton seemed old and possibly frozen for a long time. Even the sambar was very watery, almost like colored water. Overall, the food needs a lot of improvement. 2. Housekeeping and room service: Considering the price of around ₹5,000 per night, the housekeeping was unsatisfactory. The staff did not clean the room or change the linen daily. On one morning, I asked for room cleaning and had to remind them three times before they finally came around 2 PM. This level of service is not what I expected for the cost. 3. Frequent power outages and weak Wi-Fi: The electricity went off frequently, at least twice every hour on several days, and it took about 5–10 minutes to restore. During these outages, water supply was also unavailable. The Wi-Fi was weak and unreliable, sometimes working and other times not at all. 4. Hot water: Hot water was not immediately available. I had to wait 2–3 minutes each time before the water warmed up. 5. Fan problem: The fan did not work properly. It either started only at speed 5 or not at all, and even when it started, it would turn off automatically. 6. One major positive: The only highlight was the beautiful backwater view from the resort, which was truly stunning. Summary: While the backwater view is lovely, the food, housekeeping, power supply, Wi-Fi, and basic amenities require significant improvement. At about ₹5,000 per night, I expected a much better experience. Based on my 3-night stay, I do not feel this property offers good value for money.

Just one word … more than expected.The road to reach this resort is too good … coming to resort part… amazing ambience , quick service staff , Food and rooms was just amazing…
