Evoke Dholavira

Our BMW biking group stayed at Evoke Dholavira on April 18th–19th, traveling from Ahmedabad, and it was a memorable experience with some room for improvement. The location is truly beautiful—quiet, scenic, and ideal for disconnecting. The sunsets and sunrises are stunning and definitely worth seeing. The property has a soothing atmosphere, enhanced by soft music playing along the pathways, which was a lovely detail and one of my favorite features. The rooms are roomy and well-furnished with wardrobes, lockers, and clean bathrooms. Comfort was good overall, and the views from the rooms added to the stay. However, there were minor issues: the water bottles in the room on arrival were empty, and due to the heat, we had to wait about 10–15 minutes for drinking water. Also, since the property isn’t often occupied, we noticed some dead insects coming from the AC when turned on. Not a big problem, but housekeeping could improve this. The food was excellent—I'd rate it 9.5/10. The quality, taste, and variety impressed us. The crispy corn is a must-try, and breakfast was very good. Restaurant service was attentive and prompt. The swimming pool is nice for relaxing but not suited for lap swimming or diving. There’s a clubhouse with indoor games like chess, mini football, and books, which is a nice touch—adding a small gym would enhance it further. Overall, it’s a lovely property with a calm vibe, great food, and good service. With minor housekeeping and readiness improvements, it could be a top choice in the area. Definitely worth a visit if you’re going to Dholavira.

Evoke Dholavira is a highly convenient option for those interested in history, situated very close to the Harappan ruins. It offers good value with comfortable lodging in a secluded location. Some rooms require renovation, so it's advisable to check before booking. The resort is adorned with replicas of Harappan designs throughout. A standout feature is the kitchen's adaptability; the chef was very accommodating, preparing meals suited to our dietary needs after a brief discussion. Note that since most visitors are from Gujarat, the local food tends to be traditionally sweet. If you want more variety in flavors, just inform the staff—they are willing to customize dishes to your taste.

Every aspect was excellent!! The stay, staff, room service, cleanliness, ambience, and the cherry on top was the delicious food!!

The stay was fantastic! The room was incredible, and the view was truly breathtaking.

Please remember that the location is quite isolated. Therefore, the building, which is a permanent ground plus one structure, is very good. There is a swimming pool available, though I have not used it yet.
