Hotel The Grand Mamta

Great hotel with all amenities listed. They provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner at reasonable cost and the food quality was really good. Their cab partner (Mr Tariq) was really helpful, he helped us plan our itinerary and provided us best possible transportation. Saqib, our cab driver was amazing. With his guidance, we covered almost everything that we wanted. Overall, an amazing stay. Would highly recommend this to others.

I had booked my stay directly with the hotel after viewing photographs on various travel platforms such as Goibibo, MakeMyTrip, and Agoda. The images across these sites displayed a swimming pool at the property, which unfortunately was not available during our stay. Although the weather may not have permitted its use, it was still disappointing as we had paid a premium for a seven-day stay expecting the amenities shown.For the first three days, the room floor felt sticky and slippery despite daily requests to the reception for proper cleaning. I am not sure what was done differently from the fourth day onward, but the housekeeping standards improved significantly, and the room was cleaned properly thereafter.The restaurant staff were courteous and helpful, especially Muneer, Firdous & Basharat who ensured we were well attended to throughout our meals.A special mention to Tariq bhai, who manages the hotel’s cab services. My travel plans were quite last-minute, yet he arranged everything efficiently.Most importantly, I would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for our driver, Zahid, who accompanied us during our visit to Srinagar. He was well-spoken, polite, and highly professional. He guided us with excellent suggestions, took us to local markets as requested, assisted us with fair bargaining where necessary, and even helped with handling our shopping and baggage. Despite observing Roza, he ensured we had a smooth and memorable experience. Extremely disappointing and unsafe experience at Grand Mamta / Trami Restaurant.We booked a suite for 5 days and confirmed in advance that it would include a bathtub. However, upon check-in, there was no bathtub. The room was very dirty, many lights were not working, plug points were faulty, and overall maintenance was poor. Room service was pathetic and highly unprofessional.On the first day, the hotel asked for a partial payment, which we agreed to and paid via the hotel’s QR code. However, on the 4th day, while we were out for sightseeing, we started receiving repeated calls from different numbers and different staff members demanding that the outstanding amount be cleared 24 hours before checkout. We clearly informed them we would pay before checkout, yet they kept calling again and again, which was extremely disturbing.When I returned to the hotel and went to reception, they said this is their ’policy.’ The behavior of the staff was very rude, unprofessional, and intimidating. It did not feel safe for families or couples.When I agreed to pay the remaining amount, I asked for the official hotel QR code or card machine. Instead, the reception boy showed his personal QR code on his own mobile phone (QR name: Muzaffar Ahmad Rather). When I asked for the official hotel QR, they said I would have to pay additional tax. To avoid further argument, I paid the amount. When I asked for a receipt, they refused and said they do not provide receipts.On top of this, at Trami Restaurant, non-vegetarian food was placed at the vegetarian counter and served to a strictly pure vegetarian guest. After consuming one spoon, we realized and questioned the staff. They confirmed it was non-veg. This is a serious issue. Such negligence can deeply hurt religious sentiments.Overall, this was a terrible, unsafe, and highly unprofessional experience. I strongly advise families and tourists to avoid this property.

We recently visited Kashmir and chose Grand Mamta Hotel for our stay. Initially, we had booked a specific room as discussed over the phone. There was a small misunderstanding at first, so we didn’t get the exact room immediately, but after clarification, the issue was resolved and we were provided with the room we wanted.The interior and ambiance of the hotel are top-notch. The rooms are very comfortable and well-maintained. Most importantly, the daily services were handled properly and were highly appreciable.The food quality was also good. However, a few items I wanted to order were unavailable as they were out of stock. That said, it was just a personal preference issueOverall, the hotel is excellent. The staff members are respectful, cooperative, and understanding. I would personally recommend Grand Mamta Hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and comfortable stay in Kashmir

It was a great time to have a very good hotel and location. The services was good and the rooms were neat and clean. Hot water was available.We had a cab driver Zahid who was our guide and supportive for our plans and took us to all the places with safe and guidence. Very humble and cooperative.I recomend to all to take this hotel and the cab with Zahid to make the trip more excited.
