MPT Payal

Very old fashioned state government hotel. Friendly and over courteous, rather creaky. The rooms are large with good hot water. No safe. The restaurant has good tasty food but not everything on the menu is available. I booked for the swimming pool but it is kept locked most of the day and the water was filthy - they don’t look after it. It is a kilometre walk to the temples

The condition of MPT Payal is very poor. Dampness has appeared on the walls of the entire hotel, and green moss has accumulated. There is a strange smell in the hotel rooms as well. The bathroom has brown stains, the tray is broken, and the dustbin is rusted. The bathroom towels are smelly and need to be replaced without delay. Out of our two night stay, dinner is really very poor . Paneer served on 18th Feb is very very hard ,needs hammer for make into pieces. However dinner on 19th Feb and breakfast on both days are good.The condition is truly terrible. The resort is very large; if it were maintained beautifully, it has the potential to be splendid.

Hotel is adequate. It is reasonably priced for what you get. It is in need of refurbishment throughout. The gardens are well maintained and reception staff friendly and helpful. It is kept clean, but the room we had smelt of either damp or fairly overpowering air freshener.Breakfast was adequate.The pool was clean, and the pool attendant very helpful and friendly. It is in need of upgrading though, and there is only one pool lounger and that is in dire condition. If the hotel wants to attract more western guests, they need to sort this out.

Fabulous rooms and great service! MP Tourism has made my vacation memorable!Huge, old school property with swimming pool and gardens! Play and exercise areas too! The room itself will afford you sights and sounds of different birds and playful langurs!They don't make hotels like this anymore... enjoy it while you can!I wish them the best and hope to see them around for years to come!

The hotel is old property ehuch hasn't been maintained at the best but the rooms are spacious and well kept. Few smaller things could've been better but a good stay overall.The staff is amazing... Hats off. I would like to mention Amrita and Shivam. The service is excellent and the staff is super courteous.The food is surprisingly good. We ate outside a few times and decided to take rest of the meals at the hotel itself. The hotel restaurant can be considered for the people not staying in the hotel as well. Very tasteful and qell prepared dishes.The location is 5 stars. Everything is very close like the meuseum, light and sound show and the qestern corridor.Overall, I'd definately stay here again if I ever visit Khajuraho.
