Sterling Gir

Resort and location is very good. It's very peaceful. If you are nature lover, you will like it surely. Only approaching road of 1.5 km from the main road is really very bed. If anyone visiting this place, must have spare wheel and air pump, there are very good chance of puncture.

A serene place in a beautiful setting amidst mango and other trees. This resort was on the smaller side as compared to other Sterling resorts that I have stayed in but did not lack in facilities like a good sized swimming pool, game room etc. The service was also very caring and personalized. Our rooms were big with a lovely balcony attached to the first floor room and a swing outside the groung floor room. Mr. Umaraman Tiwari, the resort manager was extremely hospitable and went out of his way to make sure that we had a very comfortable stay. The chef and kitchen staff were also checking with us frequently to make sure that the food met our likes and needs. Everything was cooked fresh and as per our requirement. Overall, a wonderful stay.I do need to mention that the road to the resort (approx. 1 km) is very very bumpy but this comes under the forest dept. and Sterling can't do anything about it.There was just one small annoying part about the stay -- the repeated requests by the manger and chef and several other staff to provide (positive) feedback on Tripadvisor. This is not unique to this Sterling but I have experienced similar requests at other Sterling resorts.

The only good thing is the location and the resort is inside the jungle in a mango orchard. But the food & room is a big disaster. Was there for 2 nights on 3rd & 4th Jan. Basic cleanliness is missing. Food has only a few choices. They charged 35k for 2 nights/2 rooms. They don't have basic cleanliness. Stains all around in washrooms & foul smell, Swimming pool has broken tiles and algae. Their buffet has total 7- 8 items and the only item that is hot is the sambhar from the previous day. I regret I chose this place.

I recently stayed at Sterling Gir Resort, and it was truly an exceptional experience! The property is beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly maintained. A special thanks to Assistant Managers Aryan Sharma and Raman Tiwari for their warm hospitality and constant support throughout our stay. Their professionalism and friendliness made us feel completely at home.A special mention to Tiwari sir for his zero attitude and extremely humble nature, which made our experience even better.The dining experience was wonderful as well’big appreciation to Restaurant Manager Sanjay, who ensured every meal was delicious and perfectly served. His team took great care of us, and the service was outstanding.Overall, a fantastic stay! Highly recommend Sterling Gir Resort for anyone looking for comfort, great service, and memorable hospitality.

It was a pain staying at this hotel. The property was old with broken cupboard and dirty bads. Only good thing was pool. The staff was friendly but the manager was very rude. They had ok, NOT great, food on high price. Still the food was missing basic things like no chutney with idli, no cookies with very expensive tea.
