We enjoyed a very pleasant 4-day stay at Syna Heritage Hotel and would certainly recommend it, especially if you're visiting Khajuraho. The property is stunning, with a vast area where the main building occupies only a small portion. It features beautiful lawns, gardens, traditional decor, and lovely lighting, making it particularly attractive in the evening. Inside, it truly feels like a palace or heritage property. I highly suggest booking at least a Super Deluxe room or a suite. Our Super Deluxe room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and had two large windows, a comfy bed, AC, hot water, TV, minibar, and all the usual amenities. They also provided slippers, a dental kit, shower cap, comb, body lotion, and ample toiletries. The standout aspect for us was the staff and service. Everyone was friendly, smiling, and genuinely helpful. Nearly every request was handled promptly. The pool attendant was especially kind—he arranged extra lounge chairs and even took some photos with the hotel in the background. Reception, housekeeping, restaurant staff, and security were all equally polite. They frequently asked for feedback and even offered to change our room when we mentioned a bathroom issue. The swimming pool is in a separate area and is lovely, with a fountain flowing into it. Pool hours are 7 AM to 7 PM, though extending evening hours would be a nice improvement. Breakfast was quite good, offering a decent variety including poha, upma, cutlets, parathas, dosa, eggs, fruits, cereals, toast, juices, and tea/coffee, with some items varying by day. Staff were responsive to requests, though vegetarian made-to-order options could be better. Dinner was the weaker point for us. We tried it twice and found the food average for the price. Some dishes were too spicy, others lacked flavor, and we felt we could get better meals outside at better value, so we ended up eating out. One issue was with our bathroom (Room 209): the shower has a glass partition, but water tends to flow into the rest of the bathroom due to drainage design, leaving water near the commode and basin. Staff promptly provided a wiper when asked and offered to change our room, so their response was excellent; the drainage design itself could be improved. The location is excellent for exploring Khajuraho, with many key sights and museums nearby. Overall, despite the food and bathroom issues, the beautiful property, spacious rooms, location, and especially the wonderful service made this a very memorable stay. Based on the property and guest service alone, I would rate it higher than several larger chain hotels I've stayed at. Definitely recommended for anyone visiting Khajuraho—just book a Super Deluxe or Suite and be sure to spend some time enjoying the property itself.

We had a really pleasant stay at Syna Heritage Hotel and, overall, I would definitely recommend it, especially if you are visiting Khajuraho. The property itself is beautiful. It has a huge, sprawling area, with the main building occupying only a small part of it. There are lovely lawns, gardens, traditional décor and beautiful lighting, and the hotel looks particularly stunning in the evening. Inside, it genuinely has the feel of a palace/heritage property. I would strongly recommend booking at least a Super Deluxe room or a suite. Our Super Deluxe room was spacious, beautifully decorated and had two large windows, a comfortable bed, AC, hot water, TV, minibar and all the basic amenities you would expect. They also provided slippers, dental kit, shower cap, comb, body lotion and good supplies of toiletries. The biggest highlight for us was the staff and service. Everyone was warm, smiling and genuinely helpful. Almost every request we made was taken care of very quickly. The pool attendant was particularly nice — he arranged extra lounge chairs for us and even took some photographs with the hotel in the background. The reception, housekeeping, restaurant staff and security were all equally courteous. They also regularly asked for feedback and even offered to change our room when we mentioned an issue with the bathroom. The swimming pool is in a separate area and is lovely, with a fountain running into it. Pool timings are 7 AM–7 PM, although I personally feel extending the evening hours would make it even better.Breakfast was quite good, with a decent spread including poha, upma, cutlets, parathas, dosa, eggs, fruits, cereals, toast, juices and tea/coffee. There are also some items available on different days. The staff were receptive to requests, although vegetarian made-to-order options could be improved.Dinner, however, was the weak point for us. We tried it on two occasions and found the food quite average for the prices being charged. Some dishes were overly spicy, while others lacked flavour, and we felt we could get much better food outside for considerably better value. So we eventually chose to eat outside. There was one issue with our bathroom (Room 209): the shower area has a glass partition but water tends to flow into the rest of the bathroom because of the drainage arrangement. It can leave quite a bit of water around the commode and basin. The staff provided a wiper immediately when we requested one and even offered to change our room, so the response was excellent; the drainage design itself could simply be improved. The location is also excellent for exploring Khajuraho, with several important sights and museums nearby.Overall, despite the food and bathroom issues, the beautiful property, spacious rooms, location and especially the genuinely wonderful service made this a very memorable stay. In fact, based purely on the property and guest service, I would personally rate it above several much larger chain hotels I have stayed in.A definite recommendation for anyone visiting Khajuraho — just book a Super Deluxe or Suite and don't miss spending some time around the property itself.
