- No security whatsoever — no guard, no CCTV, and no proper reception.- Completely dark in the evening with virtually no lighting, making the property feel extremely unsafe.- Rooms were dirty and full of insects/bugs.- Property was poorly maintained — overgrown grass and an unkempt, almost jungle-like appearance.- No proper entrance or reception area and very poor overall upkeep.- Hospitality was disappointing and the staff did not inspire confidence.- The overall atmosphere felt isolated, neglected and unsafe.- We felt so uncomfortable that we cancelled our stay immediately in the evening and had to urgently find another hotel.One of the worst resort experiences we have had. Safety and basic maintenance should be non-negotiable. I strongly recommend avoiding this property, especially if travelling with family.

Our experience with this resort's cancellation policy was very disappointing. Just before our trip, a close family member was suddenly hospitalized, preventing us from traveling. We quickly notified the resort and submitted all necessary medical documents to explain our situation. Despite this serious medical emergency, the resort declined to provide any refund. We realize businesses have cancellation rules, but we hoped a hospitality provider would show some empathy and take exceptional cases into account. Given the resort's remote location, unexpected medical problems can affect any guest, so travelers should know how these situations are managed. I'm sharing this so others can make informed choices before booking. If there's a chance an emergency might affect your plans, I strongly advise carefully reviewing the cancellation policy.

Be cautious about this place! I know the resort has a non-refundable cancellation policy, and normally I would accept that. But policies shouldn't override basic kindness. We had a booking for nine people, including elderly family members. Sadly, just before our trip, my brother was hospitalized with typhoid, so our family couldn't travel. We informed the resort about the medical emergency and asked for some consideration like a partial refund or any reasonable option. The only choice they gave was to postpone the booking until October. That wasn't practical because Ladakh's season is short and the weather then is better suited for seniors and kids. Planning a trip in October with less favorable weather wasn't an option for us. Even after explaining this, the resort refused to refund any amount. What’s more disappointing is that all other hotels we booked in Ladakh understood our situation and gave refunds despite their policies. This resort was the only one that didn't. For a hospitality business, especially in a place where travelers might face emergencies, I expected empathy and flexibility. Instead, our real medical emergency was met with a strict no and no real help. The property might be nice, but true hospitality is about how guests are treated in tough times. From my experience, I suggest future guests think twice before booking here. If you have an emergency, don’t count on kindness or flexibility.

The stay in Nubra was pleasant overall, except for the food and service. The location is great, being very near the Hunder Sand Dunes, only around a 10-minute drive. The food menu could use some improvements.
