We wanted a green and tranquil spot near Bangalore that was easy to get around, especially since my father was with us and we needed it to be fairly wheelchair-friendly. Usually, we check out Chikkaballapur or Devanahalli, but this time we found Fiori Resort in Doddaballapura. One reason we picked it was the great deal through HDFC SmartBuy/points, letting me redeem points for two rooms over two nights, including breakfast and meals, making it a fantastic value. The property seems like a 30–40-year-old farmhouse converted into a small resort. The owner lived there for many years and clearly loves the garden, which is the standout feature—large, mature, well-kept, and lovely to stroll through. However, maintenance isn't consistent everywhere; some patios have rusty metal furniture with chairs that look worn out, and common areas could use updating. Rooms are scattered around the property, with older ones near the main cottage, pool, and dining area, plus a 3BHK unit. We stayed in newer rooms at the back facing farmland and a mango orchard—about eight rooms in a row with glass fronts and sit-outs instead of typical windows or balconies. A big plus was being able to drive right up to these rooms, which helped with my father. There are also smaller container-style rooms near the front. Overall, the resort can host around 30–40 guests, making it suitable for small corporate or group stays. The staff, mostly from Assam, were very attentive and helpful, quickly handling requests and being pleasant to interact with. Food was the downside; breakfast was disappointing, and many guests seemed to skip it in favor of eating out or ordering in. Dinner was better, with decent menu options and a competent kitchen team, but breakfast needs serious improvement for the resort to be a stronger choice. The location is peaceful and feels far from the city but remains accessible. It's close to Doddaballapura town, so delivery services like Swiggy and Zomato are available, and there are restaurants a few kilometers away. Grover Zampa Vineyards is a nice nearby dining option, and heading toward Nandi Hills offers more choices. In summary, Fiori is a calm, green, somewhat old-fashioned place where the garden and staff make the stay special. The infrastructure and furniture need investment, and breakfast requires an upgrade. But for a quiet weekend near Bangalore, especially with older family or a small group, it's worth considering.
