Timber Trail Heights and Terraces

Location is superb ! Perfect place for a getaway, no traffic, pollution, disturbance.Away from road on a top of hill, only way to go up is the hotel's cable car - nice experience too.

View was good, good food but expensive. Breakfast was amazing and included in tariff. Cable car was also a great... Staff is well trained professional.... Overall it was good... Many free indoor games. They have paid outdoor games as well again expensive...People were smoking in open which I didn't like.

The hotel feels like an old property. Rooms are unkept. The service is poor. All family members had severe gastroenteritis after the stay.The staff is extremely rude .Not a maintained property .Several new hotels in adjoining Kasauli that are well maintained .

Overall a good experience. The cable car ride to the resort is the highlight and the views from the top are beautiful. Fresh air, peaceful surroundings, and amazing sunrise and sunset views. Food was good with a decent variety.They also have many complimentary indoor activities like table tennis, snooker, air hockey, foosball, cricket, carrom, chess, and ludo which is great for families and kids. There are also outdoor activities but most of them are paid.However, the resort feels quite expensive for what you get. Rooms are okay but don’t expect a very luxurious stay. The building also looks a bit old in places with cracks on walls and some paint chipping.Snack prices in the shops are extremely high. I bought 2 Oreo packets and 1 Pringles can and it cost ’670, and they didn’t even provide an invoice.If you only want to experience the cable car and enjoy the scenery, there’s also a package where they take you up and bring you back down after around 2 hours (around ’1000’’1200 per person, not completely sure).Overall worth visiting for the cable car ride and views.

During our road journey to Shimla, my wife and I decided to stop at Timber Trail Heights & Terraces, and the experience immediately felt refreshing. The setting is naturally serene, wrapped in lush greenery and calm mountain air.The cable car ride was the highlight a long, thrilling journey across deep valleys and rolling hills. Watching the landscape unfold from such a height created a sense of adventure that stayed with us long after the ride ended.Once we reached the top, the peaceful ambience of the resort welcomed us warmly. The surroundings were quiet, clean, and beautifully arranged against the backdrop of the mountains.We enjoyed light refreshments and hot tea while absorbing the panoramic views. It became a simple yet memorable moment of calm before continuing our drive to Shimla.
