Extremely disappointing experience with both Treebo and Agoda.I was actually in Belgaum and intended to check in at Treebo Elite Residency. However, a major Ganesha festival procession had blocked roads throughout the area, approximately 2–3 km around the hotel, and vehicles were not allowed to enter.I called the hotel reception at around 11 PM and explained the situation. Their solution was simply: get down near Nexus Mall and WALK to the hotel.I was travelling with my elderly mother and children. Expecting us to walk through a crowded procession at 11 PM just to reach the hotel is completely unreasonable.What is worse, the booking was subsequently marked as a “NO-SHOW,” even though I was actually in Belgaum and had contacted the hotel. Agoda/Treebo then pointed towards the cancellation policy instead of addressing the actual situation.If a hotel is located in a prime area where local processions can completely block access, guests should be informed in advance. A guest should not be stranded at night and then blamed for not checking in.This was one of the worst hotel-booking experiences I have had. The handling by both the hotel and booking platform was extremely poor and showed very little concern for the safety and convenience of guests travelling with family.I strongly recommend that anyone booking this property first confirm whether the hotel is actually accessible by vehicle on the day of arrival, particularly during local festivals and processions.I am also requesting a full refund because this was not a voluntary no-show.
Had a pleasant stay at Teerbo Elite Residency, Belgaum. Clean rooms, good service, and a comfortable atmosphere. The receptionist was polite, friendly, and well-behaved. Overall, a good experience and highly recommended!
