COVID-19 Lockdown: When will the flight services resume?

India will remove restrictions on domestic and international flights once the spread of coronavirus is completely under control and doesn’t pose any threat to fellow Indians.

Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said, “My heart goes out to people who are facing problems due to restrictions put in place on domestic & international flights, pursuant to the situation arising out of the timely announcement of a nationwide lockdown.”

 

However, cargo flights, offshore medical evacuation flights, helicopter operations and special flights are permitted to operate during the 21-day nationwide lockdown

Coronavirus India Update:

The total number of positive cases: 5,734

Total deaths: 166

No. of people who have been discharged after getting cured: 473


Also, in a tweet, India’s largest low-cost carrier, Indigo said, “Our International operations are temporarily suspended till April 30, 2020. Your money is safe in the form of a credit shell, valid for one year from the date of the issuance.”
