As per Central Railway, the services will include 749 reserved and 735 unreserved trains, covering key routes within Maharashtra and extending to several other states. This move is aimed at reducing the heavy rush typically seen during peak summer travel.

Within Maharashtra, special trains will operate on busy routes such as Mumbai/Daund–Solapur, Pune–Kolhapur, Nashik Road–Badnera, and Hadapsar–Harangal. For interstate travel, additional trains will connect cities like Mumbai–Ballia, Mumbai–Gorakhpur, Daund–Kalaburagi, Solapur–Kalaburagi, and Anakapalle.

Summer vacations often bring a sharp rise in train bookings, with many passengers travelling to their hometowns or planning trips with family and friends. This increased demand usually leads to long waiting lists and crowded trains.

With the introduction of these special services, Indian Railways aims to ease congestion, improve seat availability, and ensure a more comfortable travel experience during one of the busiest times of the year.
