IRCTC to revamp Buddhist Circuit Tourist Train to attract tourists

IRCTC is planning to bring back the Buddhist Circuit Tourist Train in a new form. New changes include LHB (Linke-Hofmann-Busch) coaches, a new furnished kitchen; four first AC Coaches, two second AC Coaches, two Dining Cars, one Kitchen Car along with one coach for staff.

Intended at improving the comfort level of the passengers, the new furnished kitchen will not just provide Indian food, but also cuisines from all around the globe. Also, the newly added dining cars will allow the staff to cater to more tourists at once.

IRCTC is also offering huge discounts to tourists. All Indian nationals (NRI, PIO, OCI included) will enjoy 10% discount for all scheduled departures.

Also, the railways will grant a discount of 10% to tourists travelling with references of previously travelled passengers on six select departures. The passengers will also get a discount of 50% on the second ticket for six select departures.

The services will begin from September 29, 2018
