To ensure the success of this initiative, the state has enlisted the support of the renowned filmmaker Mani Ratnam. The objective behind this collaboration is to attract a greater number of tourists from across the country by promoting the locations that served as backdrops for popular films.

Whether it’s the enchanting backwaters of Alappuzha or the breathtaking natural beauty of Thekkady, these locations have made an indelible mark on the hearts of film lovers.

According to reports, the project will be officially launched during a special event held at the Bekal Fort in Kasaragod district, which was the shooting location for scenes in the popular film “Bombay”.

The aim of this project is to captivate travellers by immersing them in the magic of cinema, enabling them to experience the nostalgic locations that they have cherished on the silver screen.
