New Trains Launched, Coaches Added to Multiple Services

Train travellers, rejoice!  

Indian Railways has announced that many trains will be launched, restored and receiving extra coaches. This step will help the national transporter accommodate a higher number of passengers in the coming months. Scroll down for more details.

New Trains

> The East Central Railway tweeted that two trains will be launched between Ajmer and Darbhanga.

From 20th July to 10th August, train no. 05537 Darbhanga–Ajmer Special will depart from Darbhanga every Wednesday at 1:15 PM, and will reach Ajmer at 10:05 PM the next day. 

From 21st July to 11th August, train no. 05538 Ajmer–Darbhanga Special will depart from Ajmer every Thursday at 11:25 PM, and will reach Darbhanga at 6:50 AM on Saturday. 

> The North Eastern Railway shared details about a pair of trains between Varanasi and Gorakhpur. 

Starting from 25th July, train no. 15130 Varanasi City–Gorakhpur Express will depart from Varanasi City at 11 AM, and reach Gorakhpur at 5:35 PM. 

Starting from 27th July, train no. 15129 Gorakhpur–Varanasi City Express will depart from Gorakhpur at 9:15 AM, and reach Varanasi City at 2:40 PM. Both these trains will operate on a daily basis.

> The South Central Railway notified about six special trains commencing operations between HS Nanded and Hubbali.

Restoration of Trains

The Southern Railway declared that it will be restoring two trains: 

Train no. 06828 Tiruchchirappalli–Mannargudi Express Special will resume operations from 30th July, and depart from Tiruchchirappalli at 5:45 PM daily. 

Train no. 06827 Mannargudi–Tiruchchirappalli Express Special will resume operations from 31st July, and depart from Mannargudi at 6:30 AM daily. 

Addition of Coaches

Providing relief to Waitlisted passengers, the North Western Railway announced that it will be adding coaches to four trains on a temporary basis. These services are:

  • Train no. 14662 Jammu Tawi–Barmer Express will run with an extra Sleeper Class coach until 14th August. 
  • Train no. 14661 Barmer–Jammu Tawi Express will run with an extra Sleeper Class coach until 16th August. 
  • Train no. 14646 Jammu Tawi–Jaisalmer Shalimar Express will have an additional Sleeper Class coach until 15th August. 
  • Train no. 14645 Jaisalmer–Jammu Tawi Shalimar Express will have an additional Sleeper Class coach until 17th August.
