No bill, no payment: Know about Railway’s latest policy

Good news rail passengers! In order to increase transparency and control black money, Indian Railways has adopted a strict policy of ‘No Bill, No Payment.’

About the policy: Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said, ”It has been made mandatory for the vendors to pay the bills to customers as Indian Railways has adopted the policy of ‘No Bill, No Payment’. If a seller refuses to pay you a bill on a train or a railway platform, you need not pay him.”

This new step by  railways will boost transparency in tax payments by vendors on trains and stations. Also, it will eliminate the problem of overpricing, where a seller charges higher prices from customers.


Now with a mandatory bill, no seller will sell fake or duplicate items on platforms and trains.
