The Indian Railways is gearing up to launch the country’s first sleeper Vande Bharat Express, expected to run between New Delhi and Patna via Prayagraj. The journey will take just 11.5 hours, a big improvement over the current 12–17 hours.

- Faster journey: The train is expected to depart from Patna at 8 PM and arrive in New Delhi by 7:30 AM, reducing travel time to just 11.5 hours.
- Launch timeline: Services are likely to start before Diwali 2025.
- Comfort upgrade: Unlike the existing chair-car design, the Sleeper Express will feature berths for overnight journeys, with a top speed of 180 km/h, ensuring a faster and more comfortable ride.
