Railways Announces Extra Coaches for 30+ Trains

Train travellers, rejoice!  

In an effort to accommodate a higher number of passengers, Indian Railways has announced that many trains will be supplemented with extra coaches, and a few new trains will also be launched. Scroll down to know more.

New Trains

> The South Central Railway announced a pair of new trains between Secunderabad and Velankanni. 

Train no. 07161 Secunderabad–Velankanni Special will depart from Secunderabad at 8 AM, and will reach Velankanni at 8:30 AM the next day. It will run on 4th and 8th September. 

Train no. 07162 Velankanni–Secunderabad Special will depart from Velankanni at 11:50 PM, and will reach Secunderabad at 3:35 AM on the third day of journey. It will run on 5th and 9th September. 

> The Northeast Frontier Railway tweeted about a special service from Guwahati to Jammu Tawi. 

Train no. 05612 will depart from Guwahati at 8:30 AM on 31st August, and will reach Jammu Tawi at 9:45 AM on 2nd September. 

Coach Addition

> The North Western Railway notified that it has added coaches to eight trains:

1. Train nos. 18213/18214 Durg–Ajmer–Durg Weekly Express will run with one extra General coach until 25th September (from Durg) and 26th September (from Ajmer). 

2. Train nos. 18207/18208 Durg–Ajmer–Durg Weekly Express will run with one extra General coach until 26th September (from Durg) and 27th September (from Ajmer). 

3. Train nos. 20843/20844 Bilaspur–Bhagat ki Kothi–Bilaspur Superfast Express will run with one extra 3-Tier AC coach until 27th September (from Bilaspur) and until 1st October (from Bhagat ki Kothi). 

4. Train nos. 20845/20846 Bilaspur–Bikaner–Bilaspur Superfast Express will run with one extra 3-Tier AC coach until 29th September (from Bilaspur) and until 2nd October (from Bikaner).

> The North Western Railway also released a list of 17 trains which will operate with additional coaches from 1st September to 3rd October.
