Railways Launches Trains for Exams and Summer Specials

In view of the Railway Recruitment Board’s NTPC CBT-2 (Non-Technical Popular Categories Computer-Based Training 2) exam, various zones of the Indian Railways have decided to launch special trains for candidates’ ease. Scroll down for further details.

> The North Central Railway will be running a special train between Agra Cantt. and Patna. 

Train no. 04175 will depart from Agra Cantt. on 7th May at 11 PM, and reach Patna at 6 PM the next day. Train no. 04176 will leave from Patna on 9th May at 10:30 PM, and reach Agra Cantt. at 3:50 PM the next day.

> The Western Railway will be launching an exam special train between Veraval and Mumbai. 

Train no. 09420 will depart from Veraval on 8th May at 10:45 AM, and arrive at Bandra Terminus at 5 AM the next day. Train no. 09419 will depart from Bandra Terminus on 9th May at 9:45 PM, and arrive at Veraval at 3:35 PM the next day. The bookings for both these trains will open on 6th May. 

Continuing their efforts to accommodate the summer rush, Indian Railways announced special trains on new routes. 

> The East Central Railway will be running a summer special between Howrah and Raxaul. 

Train no. 03043 will depart from Howrah at 12:05 AM, and reach Raxaul at 2:15 PM the next day. Train no. 03044 will depart from Raxaul at 3:45 PM, and reach Howrah at 6:30 AM the next day. Both these trains will operate every Sunday from 8th May to 26th June. 

> The South Eastern Railway announced the restoration of train nos. 18021/18022 between Kharagpur and Khurda Road.

> The Central Railway announced the extension of two summer special trains. 

Starting from 6th May, train nos. 01045/01046 between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Thivim will be taking 10 additional trips on each side. 

Starting from 16th May, train nos. 02101/02102 between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Manmad will be taking 46 additional trips on each side.  

There will be no change in the compositions, halts and timings of these two trains.
