Railways is all set to operate 262 new special trains for Ganesh Chaturthi across the Konkan region to ease travel and ensure a seamless commute for passengers.
With the celebrations beginning on 27th August 2025, both Central & Western Railway zones are geared up to meet surging passenger demand.

Central Railway is running 192 special trains to major Konkan stations like Sawantwadi Road, Kudal, Ratnagiri, and Pernem, while Western Railway will operate 70 dedicated services. These routes are strategically planned to ease congestion at city stations and enhance connectivity to coastal pilgrimage centres.
Central Railway will run several special train booking, this festive season:
- 40 trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Sawantwadi Road
- 36 trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Kudal
- 24 trains from Panvel to Kudal
- 20 trains from Panvel to Sawantwadi Road
- 24 trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Ratnagiri
- 8 trains connecting Thane with Kudal and Sawantwadi Road
- 8 trains from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Pernem
- 6 trains from Pune to Sawantwadi Road
IRCTC Special Trains List From the Western Railway:
- 26 trains between Bandra Terminus and Madgaon
- 22 trains on the Bandra–Valsad–Sawantwadi Road route
- 22 trains on the Bandra–Valsad–Kudal route
