Latest railway update: 25+ additional trains for passengers

The Indian Railways has been taking strict measures in order to ensure that passengers have a safe, secure and comfortable travel experience during the pandemic.

Apart from that, the Railways has announced extension of many services along with some trains which will soon resume operations.

Today, we bring you some important updates regarding the latest train services so that you can easily plan your journey.

>  For the convenience of passengers and with a view to meet the travel demand, the Western Railway has decided to restore 10 pairs of special trains till further advice.

These trains include:

1. Train no.s 09073/09074 Bandra Terminus – Gandhidham – Bandra Terminus Superfast Special (Weekly)

2. Train no.s 09035/09036 Mumbai Central – Porbandar Saurashtra – Mumbai Central Special (Daily)

3. Train no.s 09229/09230 Mumbai Central – Hisar – Mumbai Central Superfast Duronto Special  (Bi-weekly)


4. Train no.s
09519/09520 Bhavnagar Terminus – Okha – Bhavnagar Special (Daily)

5. Train no.s 09055/09056 Valsad – Jodhpur – Valsad Special

6. Train no.s 09213/09214 Indore – Nagpur – Indore Superfast Special

7. Train no.s 09223/09224 Dr. Ambedkar Nagar – Nagpur – Dr. Ambedkar Nagar Superfast Special 

8. Train no.s 09333/09334 Indore – Bikaner – Indore Mahamana Special 

9. Train no.s 09323/09324 Dr. Ambedkar Nagar – Bhopal – Dr. Ambedkar Nagar Special 

10. Train no.s 09339/09340 Dahod – Bhopal – Dahod Special 

> The East Coast Railway has decided to restore train no.s 08423/08424 Bhubaneswar – Nayagarh Town – Bhubaneswar Special. It will be effective from August 31.

The East Coast Railway has also informed that train no.s 08425/08426 Puri – Durg – Puri Special will be restored from Puri for the convenience of the passengers.

The train will start from Puri on August 21 and from Durg on August 22.

> The Western Railway has decided to increase the frequency of train no.s 09050/09049 Mahuva – Surat – Mahuva Superfast Special Trains. Now these trains will run five days a week to fulfill travellers’ demand.

Train no. 09050 Mahuva – Surat Superfast Special will leave Mahuva at 7:35 pm and reach Surat at 6:35 am the next day. This train will run on every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday and Monday.

Train no. 09049, Surat – Mahuva Superfast Special will leave Surat at 10:00 pm and reach Mahuva at 9:05 am the next day. This train will run on every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
