What things are not allowed in flight?

Due to safety and security reasons, a few items are prohibited from flights. What things are not allowed in flight is dependent on the airline, your destination country and regulations that are put in place. Here is a list of things which are not allowed in flight:

1. Firearms and weapons: Ammunition, guns, explosive substances, firearms, etc. are strictly banned on flights unless these are a part of authorized parties under legal boundations.

2. Sharp Objects: Razors, scissors, cutters, knives, sharp objects, or any blades longer than 4 inches are not allowed in carry-on luggage. If properly kept or secured, these items can be carried in checked baggage.

3. Aerosols, Gels & Liquids: These items must be kept in containers that measure 3.4 ounces or 100 ml or less of each bottle. This must be placed in a single clear plastic bag which is quartz sized. One passenger can carry one bag in their carry-on luggage. This rule does not apply for breast milk, baby formula and prescribed medications.

4. Explosive and Flammable Materials: Products like gasoline which is a flammable liquid, explosives, fireworks, etc. are not allowed in flights.

5. Lithium Batteries and Hoverboards: Lithium batteries have always been under radar for safety reasons and this is why objects with large lithium batteries like electric skateboards, hoverboards and other such devices are prohibited from flights.

6. Alcohol and Drugs: Excessive amounts of alcohol or drugs not prescribed for medical use are not permitted on flights. Some airlines may have restrictions on carrying alcohol in carry-on luggage.

7. Perishable items: Items like vegetables, fresh fruits, meats, etc. might be restricted on flights while travelling international.

8. Self-Defence Items: Pepper spray, tasers, mace, etc. are not allowed in flight but can be carried in checked in baggage under certain conditions & regulations.
