Mumbai – New Delhi now upgraded with new Tejas rakes 

To ensure better facilities and utmost convenience to the passengers, the Indian Railways has replaced three rakes of train no. 12953/12954 Mumbai Central – Hazrat Nizamuddin August Kranti Rajdhani Express with Tejas rakes.

These coaches are equipped with digital destination boards, automatic plug doors, fire alarms, detection and suppression systems, toilet occupancy sensors and many more high-end amenities.

Indian Railways restores cooked meal service in many popular trains

The Indian Railways has decided to resume catering services with freshly cooked meals in premium trains such as Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Duronto, Vande Bharat, Tejas and Gatiman.

Visakhapatnam – Kirandul train upgraded with LHB and vistadome coaches

Great news for train passengers! Railways has upgraded Visakhapatnam – Kirandul train with LHB and vistadome coaches! As per the East Coast Railway, with the upgradation of the Visakhapatnam – Kirandul train, passengers will be provided with better comfort and a jerk-free journey. This facility will enhance safety with a better ride experience as well as lesser noise. Apart from these features, LHB coaches are fire retardant, have better design and low maintenance.

State-of-the-art POD concept retiring rooms at the Mumbai Central Railway Station

Indian Railways has unveiled its first-ever ‘POD’ concept retiring rooms at the Mumbai Central Railway Station. ‘POD’ rooms are affordable hotel rooms that are equipped with basic necessities in a compact form.

Each POD will provide free Wi-Fi access, a luggage room, toiletries, shower rooms, washrooms in common areas whereas inside the POD the guest can avail facilities like TV, small locker, mirror, adjustable air conditioner and air filter vents, reading lights in addition to interior light, mobile charging, smoke detectors, DND Indicators, etc.
