Automated thermal scanners

To make the process of screening seamless, the bullet thermal image screening cameras have been installed at various railway stations such as Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Asansol.

Book Trains

When a passenger enters the camera’s focus range, it begins to screen the body temperature of the passenger. The temperature is shown on the LED screen as a text message followed by an alert audio alarm.

Automated Face Mask and Hand Sanitiser dispenser

Indian Railways has installed an automated face mask and hand sanitiser dispenser at the Patna station. In case a passenger forgets to carry their own safety wear, they can always use this machine.

Vehicle-mounted sprayer being used for sanitisation

As a part of the disinfecting process, parking areas, waiting halls, platforms, lifts and escalators are being regularly sanitised. Some stations are even using a vehicle-mounted sprayer for the same purpose.

Automated ticket checking and entry management system

To prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection, ATMA (Automated ticket checking and managing access) system has been installed by Central Railways Nagpur Division. It is a contactless machine.

Indian Railways is taking all the necessary steps to ensure the safety of its passengers. As travellers, we must do our bit by following all the precautions.
