Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Goa among 5 states with relaxed COVID restrictions

India’s daily COVID caseload has steadily declined after a stiff battle just a month ago.

Already, six states have removed their RT-PCR test requirements for domestic travellers. A few, such as Punjab, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Meghalaya, are also willing to accept vaccination certificates as an alternative to a negative report during entry.

Last week, we reported how
nine states were relaxing their lockdown restrictions. Four of these locations, namely Delhi, Goa, Haryana and Tamil Nadu, have now released fresh updates about permitted activities. Holiday favourite Himachal Pradesh has also shared some positive news that may bring relief to India’s summer tourism season.

Take a look!

Himachal Pradesh

Domestic travellers no longer have to carry a negative RT-PCR test report to enter Himachal Pradesh. However, registering on covid19epass.hp.gov.in for an e-pass is still mandatory before arrival. This change is a part of the new guidelines which apply from today.

As part of the new order, the state’s corona curfew has been extended indefinitely. However, inter-district and intra-district movement of public buses is now allowed at 50% seating capacity, and private vehicles/autos/taxis can ply on roads while following safety guidelines.
