These 7 destinations have imposed night curfews; see the latest advisories here!

As a precautionary measure to keep a check on Omicron spread in India, seven destinations across the country have imposed night curfews.

The names of the seven destinations are Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Assam, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat.

Important: Air and train travel will remain unaffected and movement to/from airports and railway stations will be permitted with an ID card and valid ticket/boarding pass.

For Delhi

The Delhi government on Sunday has announced a night curfew starting from 27th December (i.e. today).

Night curfew will be implemented from 11 pm to 5 am.

For Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh has also implemented a night curfew from 11 pm to 5 am and advised citizens to strictly follow COVID-19 protocols.

For Karnataka

Karnataka has announced a night curfew from 28th December to 7th January. 

Timings of night curfew: 10 pm to 5 am

For Assam

In the wake of a steep surge in COVID-19 cases, the Assam government has imposed a night curfew across the state since 26th December. 

Timings of night curfew: 11:30 pm to 6 am

Note: The night curfew won’t be applicable on 31st December.

For Haryana

The Haryana State Government has recently announced a night curfew from 11 pm to 5 am till 5th January, 2022.

For Uttar Pradesh

The Uttar Pradesh Government has imposed a night curfew in the state from 11 pm to 5 am.

Also, people arriving in Uttar Pradesh from other states or abroad will be traced and tested for coronavirus.


For Gujarat

Gujarat recently extended the duration of the night curfew in eight cities. The curfew is now in force from 11 pm to 5 am. The new time has been implemented in the cities of Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Vadodara, Junagadh, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar and Gandhinagar.
