The first phase of the project will cover 76 major railway stations of the South Central Railway zone.

This VSS system will have a grid of CCTV cameras, which will be networked on optical fibre cable. The video feed of the CCTV cameras will be displayed not only at local RPF posts but also at a centralised CCTV control room at divisional and zonal levels.

The video feeds will be monitored at these three levels to ensure enhanced safety and security on the station premises. The remaining stations will be covered in the second phase of implementation.
