Agra Shaken by Two Bomb Blasts

On Saturday, the entire Cantonment Railway Station of Agra was shaken by two bomb blasts. As per the reports, the first bomb blast took place at around 5 am in the house of a plumber, close to the railway station. Another one was reported 45 minutes after the first one near platform no. 5 in a garbage dumping area. No damage is being reported but the investigation to find the cause of these attacks is on its pace. A team of forensic experts and a bomb disposal squad was sent to inspect the spot.

High alert was declared in Agra after a pro-Islamic state warned of terrorist attacks and a graphic depicting the possible target on Taj Mahal was circulated on WhatsApp. According to Site Intelligence Group, the graphic was posted on a channel of encrypted communication app on March 14th by Ahwaal Ummat Media Center. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), responsible for handling the security of Taj Mahal, has stated that proper frisking and surveillance is being carried out in and around the monument.

With the commencement of Annual Taj Mahotsav this Saturday, a lot of attention is being paid towards the security of the monument and the people.
