Where is the Hollongi Airport located?

The Greenfield Airport in Hollongi is located 15 km from Itanagar, the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh.

With an area of 4100 square meters, the airport will be equipped with eight check-in counters and modern passenger facilities. During peak hours, the terminal building will be able to handle 200 passengers.

The airport is designed for operations of the A-320 category of aircraft and will see a future extension of the runway by 500m to cater to the A-321 type of aircraft.

Almost 80% of airside work has been completed. Furthermore, the progress of the construction of the new interim terminal building is 30%. The terminal will be an energy-efficient building equipped with a rainwater harvesting system. The development work also includes the construction of the ATC Tower, Technical Block, Fire Station, Medical Centre, and other ancillary works.

The envelope of the building is influenced by the surrounding gorgeous landscape. The interior of the building is designed in such a way that it will invoke a sense of calmness in the flyers by providing free-flowing spaces, a hidden service core, and a glass facade.
