Indian Railways is all set to launch the Vande Bharat Sleeper Express, designed to make long-distance journeys faster and more comfortable than ever before.
One of the first Vande Bharat train routes this new premium sleeper train will cover is Delhi to Howrah, connecting the national capital with Kolkata via some of India’s key junctions.

- This Vande Bharat train will cover a distance of 1,449 km in under 15 hours, significantly faster than most existing trains on this route.
- Like other Vande Bharat Express trains, the sleeper version is expected to run at 160–180 km/h, making it the fastest train between Delhi and Howrah once launched.
- The train will halt at key junctions, including Kanpur Central, Prayagraj Junction, DD Upadhyaya Junction, Gaya Junction, Dhanbad Junction, and Asansol Junction.
- With stops at major junctions, this train will benefit travellers from multiple states, offering a premium option for a long-distance journey.
- The Vande Bharat Sleeper will have 16 coaches, which will consist of 11 AC 3-tier, 4 AC 2-tier, and 1 First-Class AC.

AC 3-tier: ₹3,000 (approx.)
AC 2-tier: ₹4,000 (approx.)
First-Class AC: ₹5,100 (approx.)
