The outbreak of coronavirus has worsened with 27 new cases making the total number of confirmed victims 169 in the country.
Here are the latest updates:
>Karnataka government has decided to extend its lockdown to contain COVID-19 by deciding to isolate all the international passengers on arrival. This will be in place till March 31.
>Two women tested positive for coronavirus in Mumbai on Thursday, taking the number of such cases in Maharashtra to 47. While one woman had returned from the UK, the other one had come back from Dubai.
>As a precautionary measure against the COVID-19, Varanasi and Haridwar Ganga aarti will now be conducted by only one priest and without public participation till March 31.
>The Council for ICSE and ISC has postponed all exams between March 19 and 31. The revised dates will be announced later.
>In the wake of the coronavirus threat, Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra has been suspended. All the interstate buses, incoming and outgoing, have also been banned.
