Charming Cultural Retreat

A true hidden treasure in Haridwar. The ambiance is warm and inviting, the staff exceptionally caring, and the private ghat hosts a stunning evening aarti. The garden and rooftop terrace add to the charm. Rooms have a unique atmosphere and comfy beds. The food stands out, featuring a menu based on family recipes with a modern touch, making everything feel genuine and thoughtfully prepared. Their organized activities are a must-do, offering a wonderful way to connect with Haridwar's culture and spirit beyond typical tourist spots. I highly recommend this very special place.

The hospitality exceeded all expectations — the staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and always anticipating our needs before we even asked. A standout feature was the private ghat, which allowed for a serene, comfortable, and effortless experience bathing in the Gangaji. The cuisine was excellent, and every detail throughout the property was clearly chosen with great care and thoughtfulness. We departed with wonderful memories and look forward to returning soon with our families. Thank you for providing such a beautiful experience, and please continue the fantastic service!

My time at Amrit Bhawan was absolutely flawless and exactly the peaceful retreat I was looking for. The property is stunning and perfectly situated, providing a tranquil riverside setting while still being conveniently close to all that Haridwar has to offer. Originally built as a 1970s Art Deco family residence, the house has been lovingly restored, maintaining its historical charm with features like the original terrazzo floors and antique furnishings. The standout moments for me included the touching private Aarti ceremony at their own ghat and the serene morning yoga sessions by the river. Every meal was fantastic, and the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Special thanks to the manager, Suniel, whose warmth and profound understanding of Indian culture and local history made my stay truly memorable. This is a perfect, soulful haven that I wholeheartedly recommend.
