Nice hotel with beautiful mountain views. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with Western, South Asian, and North Indian options. A bit expensive and room service was slightly slow, but overall a pleasant stay.

I stayed in a Superior Room with Mall Road View on the 2nd floor, with breakfast and dinner included. The room was neat and clean, and the view from the room was pleasant.The overall service was very good throughout my stay. The staff was polite, cooperative, and helpful, which made the stay smooth and hassle-free.Talking about the food, both breakfast (buffet) and dinner (?? la carte) were tasty and well prepared. However, I personally felt that the food menu is slightly on the expensive side.One thing I really appreciated was their care for babies. They provided baby milk, and on a few occasions when I ordered parantha for my baby, they served it free of cost, which was a very thoughtful gesture.Cons / Good-to-have improvements (balanced by location):’There is no in-room geyser as the hot water system is centralized, and hot water is available only during fixed timings (6 AM to 11 AM and 6 PM to 11 PM). Also, some cold water gets wasted before hot water comes.’There is no open terrace or balcony.’There is no dedicated playing area for kids.’The edges of the wooden TV cabinet were sharp, which could be a safety concern for families with children.’The bathroom looks more modern and cleaner in photos than in reality, though it was functional and caused no issues.That said, all these points are largely offset by the hotel’s excellent location. Being right on Mall Road makes it extremely convenient for shopping, walking around, food options, and enjoying the overall vibe of the area.Overall, it was a comfortable stay with a prime location, good service, clean rooms, and supportive staff, especially suitable for families.

We , family of 3 stayed at Amritara Surya Mcleodganj for 3 nights in second week Dec.25. Overall experience was very good. Location is very near to main square Mcleodganj and Market. Rooms are big in size; overall neatness and cleanliness along with other amenities are top notch. No issues with anything as far as stay is concerned. Our room had ample natural light and provision for fresh air through window (if you want you can open the window).Staff is really cooperative and helpful. Attitude of all the people was service oriented. Food in the restaurant was delicious and hygienic. We had dinner at the hotel on all days and we were never disappointed. Breakfast buffet was good - though there’s a scope for improvements in the breakfast buffet spread. Staff at the reception were truly great- always willing to help.

I had a wonderful stay at Amritara Surya, McLeodganj. We spent two nights and everything was top-notch ’ truly can’t have a better stay in McLeodganj. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the housekeeping staff is really good. The entire team was extremely humble, polite, and always available whenever needed. The breakfast and the food we ordered from their restaurant was delicious. Everything was on time, and every interaction with the staff was warm and welcoming. Highly recommended for a comfortable and pleasant stay!
