Cygnett Inn Imperial

I had an overall good experience at Cygnet Inn, Tezpur, particularly considering the price.The hotel is located on a busy/main road, which makes it convenient to find local transport such as autos. The reception area and overall ambience are pleasant. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well maintained, and the washrooms are also clean. The bedding was comfortable, clean, and soft. The breakfast was the main area where I felt the hotel could improve. While the breakfast included options such as dosa, an omelette/egg station, and other items, the variety was somewhat limited. More importantly, once items in the buffet dishes were finished, there did not seem to be anyone actively monitoring them or ensuring that they were replenished promptly. The breakfast service could certainly be more attentive and efficient.I also found one experience regarding the cappuccino a little odd. On one morning, cappuccino was served as part of breakfast, but when I requested it on next day, I was told that it was chargeable and that it had been served to me the previous day by mistake. This was somewhat unexpected, as I would generally expect coffee options to be included with a buffet breakfast.We also had dinner at the hotel one evening, which unfortunately was not a good experience. The main dishes arrived first, but the rotis took a very long time to arrive. By the time the rotis were served, the dishes had become cold, making the meal unnecessarily delayed and disappointing.On the positive side, check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free, with no issues whatsoever.Overall, for the price, I found the hotel to be quite good, with clean and comfortable rooms, a pleasant ambience, and convenient location. The main areas that need improvement are the breakfast variety, buffet replenishment, and overall food service.

Maybe the best in Tezpur but way below the standards of any luxury hotels. Honestly they are just standard hotel and should price accordingly.

Only downside i see here is the lift isnt from basement and parking.

I have stayed at Cygnett, Tezpur seven times and previously gave them a 5-star rating on Google. Sadly, the service quality has fallen sharply in my last two visits, and my most recent stay was unacceptable. I booked a one-night stay for two adults on their official website for ₹3,100. Due to a glitch, it defaulted to one adult. At check-in, the front desk processed my room without mentioning any issue or extra charge. But after check-in, they called demanding an additional ₹1,200 for the second guest. When we tried to adjust the bill to the official two-adult rate at booking (₹3,307, so the real difference was just ₹200), management initially agreed but later refused to honor that rate and forced me to pay an inflated extra ₹800 based on current website price hikes. Charging dynamic price increases after booking is unfair. It's disappointing how poorly Cygnett treats loyal repeat guests. I will definitely reconsider before booking here again.

Nice place to stay , modern interior, nice room services, hygiene maintained. Good supportive staff. Only to improve the quality of complimentary breakfast specially the south indian live dosa counter. People like me are not fond of puri or paratha . It will be better if this South Indian options (specially Dosa along with Idli and all) should be improved .Rest are fine.
