Tranquil Relaxing Getaway

One of the most wonderful experiences we've had was staying at Devbagh Jungle Lodges Resort. The location is peaceful, isolated, and feels very private. Many birds have made it their habitat, so you can enjoy their songs. The beach is just a short walk from the cottages, and the sight and sound of the waves is very soothing. We had three meals at JLR, and the food was excellent. Definitely a great choice if you want to relax and recharge. They also offer activities like Nature Walks, Kayaking, boat trips to Kallikamata island, and dolphin watching tours. The staff and service were outstanding. We look forward to returning soon!

I stayed here for work and had a fantastic experience. The location is perfect, a solid 10/10, with a private beach just a short 3-minute walk from the cottage. The staff, especially Mr. Dinesh and Prashant, were very friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The food was okay but could be better. In the evenings, they regularly offer snacks and tea or coffee at the beach. There's also a bar for those who like to enjoy a drink. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I definitely plan to return with my family. Note that while there is a television, the internet and Wi-Fi are quite poor, but that's probably for the best when you want to relax in nature!

The accommodation is located directly on the beach, but because of the weather, we weren't able to participate in many water activities. We had a great time playing on the beach, watching the sunset, spotting dolphins, and stargazing. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

The place is overrated except for the food and the sea. It's not really an island, more like the end of the land. After a couple of days into the monsoon, it became very untidy, which is disappointing, especially for a pricey spot. The staff are focused on feeding guests every four hours and do so enthusiastically. The food is good and safe. Evening snacks by the beach with a bonfire are enjoyable, and the friendly staff deserve praise for their efforts, including Chef Krishna, Vinayak, Dilraj ji, Rahul, Ravi, Krishnanand, and others. The rooms are basic but the geyser and other facilities work fine. Cleaning and linen changes need to be requested and aren't automatic. We mostly drank our own bottled water. Umbrellas are available and in good condition. The trampoline is large and nice; there used to be a zip line but it broke a few years ago. No water activities were offered due to the rainy season (they resume in August). Parking was chaotic because of rain, lack of paved paths, and litter. The management's lack of concern for overall cleanliness is hard to accept. Despite these issues, we had a good holiday thanks to the sea, beach, and polite staff. If you're nearby, it's worth a visit, but traveling from another state for a private retreat might be reconsidered—we couldn't do the boat rides, which might have improved the experience. Still, the place is too far to justify a dedicated trip.
