Flora Charishma Residency

We stayed at Flora Charishma Residency in Aluva as my wife’s exam center was nearby. The exam location was revealed at the last minute, so we quickly booked the Charishma Suite ’ and it turned out to be an excellent decision.The suite was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with a separate sitting area, tea/coffee setup, a large comfortable bed, soft ambient lighting, and a proper work desk. The calm and peaceful atmosphere really helped ease the pre-exam stress. The bathroom was modern and well maintained with quality fittings.The staff were polite, professional, and supportive throughout our stay.The location is a major advantage ’ close to the metro station, railway station, and main road, yet peaceful inside. It’s also about 25 minutes from the airport, which made travel very convenient.On the day we checked in, we ordered lunch through room service ’ Nadan fish curry, Kerala parotta, and Kerala chicken biryani ’ and everything was excellent. The food was flavorful and well prepared.We also had the buffet breakfast at the Rainfall Restaurant on exam morning, and it was equally impressive. The spread was neatly arranged, the ambience was elegant, and it was a relaxed and satisfying start to an important day.Overall, one of the best stays we’ve had around Kochi. Highly recommended.

Great location - Near Aluva metro station and Railway stationStaff - Restaurant staff and front office staff were courteous and helpful, however, went non-responsive towards my complaints after I checked outRestaurant - Tasty food and friendly staffRooms - I booked a suite room for 2 nights. The Airconditioner was running but was barely cooling. The mechanic examined, but couldn't do anything. One would feel cold air near the vent, but the other side of the room stayed warm. On one occasion we left the AC running all through the afternoon when we went out and the room never got cooled. On asking for a different room, the front desk did make attempts to move us, however couldn't as the people in that room did not check out in time and I didn't have the time to wait.I had to stay in a warm room, while I paid for an AC suite room. Thr front desk has not responded since.The property lacks maintenance in general - mould on roof, stain in comode, worn out mirrors. I considered checking out as soon as I saw the room, however there was no availability in other hotels in the area. The hotel does not meet the standards expected from a Flora hotel.My stay was uncomfortable largely, except for the experience at the restaurant.

Booked in desperation as luggage hadn’t arrived, what a fabulously fortunate choice! Staff are extremely understanding and helpful, offering valuable practical advice, so much so nothing seemed too much trouble to ask for help with.I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel! Hence the star rating I’ve given it.Breakfast was absolutely delicious, a buffet, with both Western/European dishes as well as typical Keralan food, again extremely helpful and well informed staff in attendance.Thank you all so much. It’s been a surprising unplanned pleasure and I’m deeply grateful.
