Forest Hills At Tala

Forest Hills at Tala offers a beautiful setting, but I have major worries about the service, upkeep, and whether it’s worth the price. I stayed there recently for my wife’s birthday, and from the time I booked until I left, the experience didn’t meet my expectations for a high-end place. The booking process was disappointing, especially dealing with a staff member named Riya, who wasn’t very welcoming and didn’t gather all booking info at once, causing multiple messages back and forth. I asked for a surprise cake in the villa for my wife’s birthday, but it arrived about 20 minutes late, which was upsetting given the occasion and prior arrangement. I paid nearly ₹20,000 per night for the villa, but the condition didn’t justify that cost. There were marks and stains on the walls, water inside the hair conditioner bottle, and stains in the bathtub. For a luxury resort, this maintenance level is not acceptable. At the restaurant, the menu card was torn with damage that looked like it might be from rodents, which made me worry about cleanliness and pest control. Overall, besides the lovely natural surroundings, I wasn’t happy with other parts of the property. The service, room condition, and what I saw don’t match the high price. I advise future guests to think carefully before booking and to check the room carefully if they do stay, while keeping expectations about service and upkeep realistic.

The location is excellent and the rooms are clean, distinctive, and very cozy, set in a tranquil natural environment. However, the food service is rather slow. The property is definitely worth visiting, but expect some delays when dining.

Had an amazing weekend at Forest Hills at Tala with friends, and it went beyond what we expected! The resort in the monsoon season is truly enchanting—vibrant greenery, fresh air, and misty conditions that give the whole place a dreamlike feel. What stood out during our visit: Nature & Scenery: We enjoyed peaceful nature walks around the area and witnessed a stunning view from the sunset point. Activities & Fun: There’s a lot to experience! We especially enjoyed rifle shooting, but they also have ATV rides, archery, indoor games like carrom and chess, a pet zoo, and a lovely botanical section. Food & Meals: The meals were tasty and flavorful. Room service made it easy to order food directly to our rooms. The complimentary breakfast and hi-tea were also delicious and nicely presented. It’s an ideal mix of comfort, nature, and exciting activities. Definitely a great choice for a relaxing yet adventurous weekend with friends or family.

Perfect spot for a weekend getaway

This place shows what happens when a good property is run by people with no experience. We booked a luxury stay for a special occasion and informed the property ahead of time. The room itself was nice, but the view was nothing like the pictures and was totally blocked by the restaurant. It was noisy outside all the time, and since it was right by the restaurant, we had no privacy and couldn't go outside at all. The service was terrible — it took hours to get food at the restaurants, we couldn't get an umbrella during the rainy season despite calling multiple times, and there was only one cab for transport within the property that was unhelpful even after waiting 30 minutes. The occasion was completely ruined because of the service and the room. I wouldn't recommend this place.
