We had a bad experience. The room was bit unclean and basic facilities like hot water were not provided. The email we sent to them on April 13 (below) has the details. We have not got any response on this from them. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.Dear Kaushik,I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding a recent stay at the Clarks Inn Hotel, Etawah. My family and I occupied two rooms on the night of April 4th, following a long journey from Ayodhya.Upon arrival at 7:00 p.m., we discovered that our rooms lacked basic amenities, specifically fresh towels and hot water. The room provided to my parents had cobwebs on the ceiling, and a bathroom with no hooks on any wall. When we brought this to the attention of your staff, we were informed that the hotel was at full capacity and that recent rain had resulted in a shortage of dry towels. Furthermore, we were told hot water would not be available until 5:00 a.m. the following day.After several requests, we were eventually provided with towels from the swimming pool area. However, the lack of hot water was never resolved, forcing my elderly parents to bathe in cold water both that evening and the next morning. Additionally, despite my request to speak with the shift manager, Aanchal, she failed to follow up with us as promised.While we understand that weather conditions can present operational challenges, the lack of communication and the failure to provide basic conveniences are unacceptable for a hotel of this standing. We expected a higher standard of service and professional courtesy, particularly given the hotel's association with the Clarks Inn chain and IHCL.I am sharing this feedback to ensure you are aware of these significant service failures. My neighbor's television was turned on at 5 AM, and I could hear it as if it were in my own room. In my 35 years of international travel, this is the first time I have encountered such a situation. The staff did not take any action to resolve the issue. I was not pleased with the property.
