The hotel rooms were very congested, specifically the washrooms, and there was a blockage in the shower area. The hotel location is also very far from the Vapi station.

I have always preferred staying at Ginger hotels for my travels, but unfortunately, my most recent stay at Ginger Vapi was a bit of a mixed bag due to persistent technical issues.The biggest frustration was that access card failed to work for both the room and the elevator throughout the stay. Every time I needed to go to my room, I had to wait for a staff member to accompany me and use a master card. While the staff were helpful in assisting, it significantly hampered my privacy and convenience. This is a basic amenity that needs urgent maintenance.The Upside:Food & HygieneOn a positive note, the core "Ginger" experience remains solid:Cleanliness: Both the room and the bathroom were well-maintained and hygienic.Dining: The food was tasty and of high quality. I was very satisfied with the meals provided.

I booked one room through Booking.com for 2nd January 2026 and checked out on 3rd January 2026. I had a very bad experience at Hotel Ginger Wapi.Though we booked Non-smoker room, I was allotted with smokers room. My wife is asthamatic and had to shift the room within half an hour as it was stinking badly with smell of cigarette smoke.Hotel Ginger Wapi is a very old property and needs massive renovations and upgradation. Instead of providing body wash, a very small low standard soap is being provided by them.The flush tank water was flowing non stop through out our stay, which disturbed our sleep too. The technician sent from reception couldn't fix the problem and water was flowing all the time, almost for 22 hrs.Only one electronic card key was issued to two of us. It was to be swiped for using lift. Either of us could not go down/out separately and come back to room as only one card was issued.There was issue of electric supply and hotel was not having sytem of auto shifting to generator. One has to go to particular location and has to put on generator. Lift was not working due to power failure and we had to climb stairs.Electronic card key was inoperative next day morning creating lot of trouble. The Manager and staff were absolutely inactive in all matters.After checked in we received our bags after almost 3 hours. Called up reception several times for sending bags and finally had to go to the reception. Overall, it was a good stay. The restaurant staff was friendly. We stayed at this place twice’once while going to Baroda and the second time while coming back.During our onward journey, we arrived late after dinner hours, but the staff still accommodated our request and prepared food for us. Later, we asked the front desk for an extra pillow. We waited for almost half an hour and had to call at least four times before receiving it.However, during our return stay, we didn’t face any issues. The hotel is located right next to the highway and is overall a good option for taking a break during a road trip.
