Gopi Dham

To express my continued admiration for the Ashram and its management, I have been staying here annually since 2023. In May 2024, I came to perform my mother's yearly rites, and Munnabhai, the manager, along with his team, was very helpful. My sister visited at that time and liked the place, though she stayed at the hotel next door because she prefers hotels over ashrams. In May 2025, while heading to Kedarnath, I decided to skip Haridwar and stay in Rishikesh based on Munnabhai's advice, as public transport is more available there. I stayed here again on my return. In 2026, I made two mountain trips: one in early May to Tunganath with the travel group TTH starting from Tapovan, Rishikesh, where I stayed; and another in mid to late June to Rudranath and Kalpeswar by car with a group, starting from Kalikamli in Haridwar. On the return from Rudranath, we rested at Gopidham Ashram, exhausted from the pilgrimage, and it was a wonderful experience recovering in the natural Ashram environment. The place is very calm and peaceful, combining hotel amenities with the mystical atmosphere of an ashram. The surroundings are scenic, with Rajaji National Park nearby, so you might encounter wildlife on your way to the hotel. Transport to and from Har Ki Pauri is decent but less convenient than staying in the city itself. There are only a few dhabas nearby, but they are quite good. The management is friendly and supportive. This may not be the best choice for a family vacation, but for those seeking peace, solitude for meditation, and who are not concerned with everyday comforts, this is an ideal spot with a very reasonable price.

My stay at Gopidham Ashram in Haridwar was very enjoyable. The rooms were tidy, cozy, and well-kept. The bathrooms were also clean and sanitary, which added to the convenience of the stay. The staff and volunteers were modest, supportive, and always willing to help guests. One of the highlights of the ashram is that it provides great lodging at a very reasonable cost without sacrificing cleanliness or essential amenities. I strongly suggest Gopidham Ashram to anyone traveling to Haridwar who wants a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay. It was a great experience, and I would gladly return.
