Hotel Jay Palace Inn, Solapur

The rooms were tidy and the staff responded quickly. They offer essential amenities, including dental kits and a hairdryer. Although the rooms and bathrooms are small, they offer adequate accommodation.

We booked this hotel online and arrived a bit early, hoping to check in ahead of time. In many places I've stayed, especially when only female travelers are involved, hotels often allow early check-ins if rooms are free. But here, we were asked to pay an extra ₹500 for early check-in, which we didn't really like. Since our booking was already confirmed, we went ahead with it. Regarding the hotel itself, the rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. There was a lift, which was convenient, and overall the stay was okay. One thing that let us down was the approach to drinking water. On day one, we got two free bottles. Later, when we asked for more, we were told we had to pay. Given it was peak summer and water is essential, this seemed unfair. When I questioned it, the receptionist finally said we didn't have to pay, which made the whole situation confusing and unnecessary. Overall, the property and rooms were good, but our experience with the reception and some service policies could have been better. A bit more flexibility and friendlier communication would definitely enhance the guest experience.
