Hotel Lok Sagar

After a long day of driving with my family, we checked into Hotel Lok Sagar hoping for a good night's rest. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing and completely disrupted our sleep.We had parked our car in front of the hotel in a designated parking space. Since we were exhausted from the journey, we went to bed early. Around 10 PM, the room landline suddenly started ringing. We were all in deep sleep, and it took us some time to understand where the ringing was coming from and answer the call. By the time I picked up the phone, it had already disconnected.A few minutes later, there was a knock on our room door. A hotel staff member informed me that I needed to move my car from the front parking area to the basement because another guest wanted to park there. I had no issue moving the car, and I cooperated immediately.What disappointed me was the way this was handled. Waking up a family with young children late at night for a parking rearrangement is not something I would expect from a hotel. If the hotel anticipated the need to move vehicles, they could have discussed it during check-in or offered an alternative solution, such as collecting the car key with the guest's consent and handling the parking arrangement themselves.The interruption completely ruined our sleep after a tiring journey. While this may have been an isolated incident and perhaps just my bad luck, I felt that it was not a considerate way to treat guests who had already settled in for the night.This review reflects only my personal experience, but based on this stay, I would prefer not to stay at this hotel again.

Recently I happened to stay in this hotel for 2 nights and it was a pleasant stay. The hotel premises and room were near and clean, courteous and cooperative staff, quick response to any query or demands, delicious complimentary breakfast. The best part is its location which is quite close to all major attractions of the town. It also has a good parking facility.The hotel is family and women friendly and has an in-house store where you can enjoy shopping some local souvenirs at a responsible price. If you are visiting Mysuru, consider this hotel option for a comfortable stay and memorable stay.

I had a wonderful stay at Lok Sagar Hotel for one night. Everything about the experience was excellent. The cleanliness of the rooms and overall property was impressive, and the staff’right from housekeeping to reception’were extremely courteous and helpful.The restaurant service and breakfast were also very good, offering a pleasant dining experience. Most importantly, the hotel’s location is perfect and very convenient for exploring Mysore.Overall, it was a great stay, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Mysore.

We had a great experience at Hotel Lok Sagar. The rooms were neat and well maintained, the staff was very friendly, and the overall service was impressive. The location is convenient and very calm. Hotel is near to Railway station.I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. ’’?

It's not elegant, and has some quirks, but we had a nice stay at this family-run hotel.Room: We opted for the Superior Comfort Room, which was clean and quite spacious, and had a refrigerator. It was reasonably attractive, but a bit more shabby than the pictures would suggest. The shower was fine, though I had to run the water for some time to achieve a decent temperature, and no bathmat was provided.Location: Conveniently located within an easy walk of two palaces and the outstanding Devraja Market. A few restaurants are within easy walking distance.Food: Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, with good Indian options at well as eggs, cereal, toast, etc. The coffee was not impressive, but did the job. We ate a decent lunch at the hotel restaurant, though truth be told it seems to be hard to get a bad meal in this country.Staff: Staff were responsive to requests; some were friendlier than others. Lakhsmi in particular was very cheerful and friendly. Housekeeping was hit or miss; multiple requests were required to get a new roll of toilet paper.Value: Quite good, especially for a city.
