Hotel Shakuntala

Very disappointing, the bathroom and bedsheets were not cleaned. There is a lot of room for improvement.

The main Hotel is in 1 minute walking distance from the sea, but in the middle of a happening place! We didn't get the sea view from the balcony of the 1st floor rooms!Rooms were almost clean, AC was in auto mode, working fine.Lift in the hotel is a very good thing!Room Service was Ok!We have booked via call for last October, but then we rescheduled our travel plan this June, they have finely adjusted the advance amount! That was the Best thing!Room price was a little higher than it should be, as per counted all points!

Very beautiful hotel , also in a very popular location.. whenever we went to puri we used to stay in this hotel only. Rooms were too good and their services were also very good, the hotel staffs were soo polite and helpful, whenever we called them , they came to help us as per our need.. this is a beach view hotel in a very reasonable price.. loved hotel Shakuntala..

Decent hotel for family stay. Not sea facing but a walking distance to the sea beach. It is located by the good restaurants - no need to go too far for good food.Servers were good and were available on demand. The hotel has elevator. Good for elderly people and people with knee problems.Hotel food was average but we enjoyed the Aloo Paratha in breakfast. Bathrooms and rooms were clean and good for stay. This hotel is no different than other Puri hotels but rooms and toilets were comparatively clean and well maintained.

Me, my mom and dad stayed here for nine days and were impressed by their hospitality.The staffs are extremely active and engage in daily cleaning chores without any hiccups.The manager in charge is polite and took care of us for the whole stay.The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are tidy and have an abundance supply of water (both cold and hot).My only gripe is that they do not provide any complimentary breakfast (like many other hotels do) nor do they have an affordable option for having meals. (There’s one ’Bijoli Restaurant’ underneath the stairs but the food options are limited and shockingly high in price)If you are looking for a sea side hotel just in front of the beach, go for it. Not only would you have dedicated ’sea-facing’ rooms but also an open veranda like front space where you can sit on a chair and relish the view.
