"The rooms were average’not very good, but not terrible either. However, their services were extremely poor. There is no refrigerator available, so if you want cold drinking water at night, you won't be able to get it. In addition, they do not have an in-house kitchen. If you want to order food and prefer not to go outside, there is no facility to order meals within the hotel itself. Overall, the experience was very disappointing. I would not recommend staying here."

The rooms were mediocre—not great, but not awful. However, the service was really lacking. There was no fridge, so getting cold water at night was impossible. Also, the hotel doesn't have its own kitchen, so if you want to order food without going out, there's no option to get meals delivered inside. Overall, the stay was quite disappointing. I wouldn't suggest staying here.

I strongly advise travelers’especially solo travelers’to book elsewhere.The Issue:I booked a stay here for my sister who was on a solo pilgrimage,However, upon arrival, they refused to check in, claiming that single occupancy is not allowed.’ Deceptive Booking: If a hotel does not allow single occupancy, they should not list those options or accept such bookings on reservation platforms.’ Refusal of Entry: Despite having a confirmed booking, she had to leave without accommodation.’ Refund Denial: Most appallingly, the management flatly denied a refund for the service they refused to provide. They essentially took my money and gave me nothing in return.

I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience with Hotel Shankar Niwas and would caution travelers, particularly those traveling alone, to choose a different place. The problem was that I booked a stay for my sister who was traveling solo on a pilgrimage, but when she arrived, they would not allow her to check in, stating that single occupancy is not permitted. This is misleading because if single occupancy is not allowed, the hotel should not offer or accept such bookings on reservation sites. Despite having a confirmed reservation, she was forced to leave without a room. Even worse, the management refused to refund the payment for a service they did not provide, effectively taking my money without giving anything in return.

Terrible service and the room was the worst.
