Landmark Hotel

The hotel building is very old. Rooms are not so good. Food is very tasty here. All dishes are cooked very good. Room service and everything else is good here.

Checked room rates on MMT yesterday(11.06.26) and selected 02 rooms. But for getting sure wanted to visit the hotel. The recectionist firstly told that they are full but after showing the MMT she agreed to provide room. I told that as I am not having online payment so I will pay the same amount in cash and she agreed also. Thereafter when I came back with my family for check-in she showed me 02 different rooms not as per MMT available rooms and also told that I have to pay as per hotel rates not the rates shown in MMT. She clearly denied that I had any such conversation before that I will pay the MMT rates. When asked her to check the CCTV she told that the CCTV doesn't have voice.It's clearly cheating nothing else. Either she thought to keep the extra amount with her or if she acted as per the hotel owner then the owner is also a cheater. Nothing else.

We visited in late-March, and the weather was perfectly pleasant. The property itself is quite beautiful, blending a classic British charm with all the modern amenities you’d need. Our room was spacious, featuring a cozy, comfortable bed and a direct view over the lake. To top it off, the staffs were incredibly polite and helpful, and the complementary breakfast offered a great variety with more than three different options.

Location was good and all the staff were very polite and quick to respond. But there is no backup during power out. Food was good. Rooms can be made more beautiful and can have more maintenance.Overall nice place to stay.

Hotel Landmark is located in a convenient area near Haflong Lake, which is one of the main attractions of the town. The location is definitely a positive aspect, as guests can easily access the lake and enjoy the surrounding area. It is at a walkable distance to the circuit house which gives good view of the hills around.However, our overall experience at the hotel was not good. The rooms are old-fashioned and poorly maintained. Illumination inside the room is insufficient. Considering the high room tariff, the amenities provided are not up to the mark. The pricing does not justify the quality of facilities offered.We arrived at around 11:00 p.m., but the main gate of the hotel was locked. We had to wait for nearly 20 minutes before we could contact someone to open it. There is no proper 24-hour reception service, which caused inconvenience, especially during late-night arrival.Room size is ok for two persons but we booked online for the persons with higher tariff and we were given the same room with one additional mattress. The condition of the mattress was not good as can be seen in the picture. Cleanliness is acceptable but not top notch like other hotels at this price.
