Lemon Tree Wildlife Resort Bandhavgarh

This resort is located in the jungle near Tala. According to locals, there have been tiger sightings. The resort closes during the rainy season when the park is also closed. The service was excellent, the rooms were comfortable, and the food was very good. Expect Indian home-cooked style food, nothing fancy, but you will enjoy it.

From the moment we reserved our rooms at the resort, the process was smooth and impressive. We stayed for 3 nights, and our time at Lemon Tree, Bandhavgarh ranks among our best experiences so far. The resort is located deep in the jungle, right next to the Tala core zone fence and about 2.5 km down a dirt road. If luck is on your side, you might spot Bajrang, the largest tiger in Bandhavgarh, on the way to the resort without even going on a safari. The customer experience was excellent, but the resort staff went beyond expectations to delight us. Mr. Anil Namdeo followed up a day before arrival regarding room and dietary needs, the welcome was warm, Mr. Dashrath ensured our premium and clean rooms were perfect, Mr. Udesh Tripathy arranged a special packed breakfast for the safari and accommodated food allergies beyond the dinner buffet, the front desk helped with safari bookings, and Shiva handled checkout smoothly. The staff managed everything very well. The only downside was that Wi-Fi was limited to the dining hall and reception area. I would definitely recommend this resort.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my wife and baby girl, and overall, our experience was a mix of good and bad. The housekeeping team was the highlight — very professional, polite, and always greeted us warmly. The restaurant staff was also wonderful, showing great care and attention, especially when preparing food for our baby, which made us feel well looked after. On the downside, our first night was disappointing because the AC in our room wasn't working despite the outside temperature being over 40°C. We had to wait until nearly midnight to get a room change after several requests, making the first night uncomfortable and leaving a poor initial impression. The reception staff also need improvement; they were not welcoming, offering no greetings or smiles, and even during checkout, basic courtesy was lacking, which felt quite rude. Aside from these problems, the support and restaurant teams deserve praise for their excellent service.
