Maharani Hotel

The rooms were clean and basic amenities were present. Appreciate the way they maintain the rooms. The only problem we encounter was with the food. We had chapathis and chicken curry. We (myself and my wife) had food poisoning for the next entire day. I will never opt Maharani again.

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel with our family. The location, rooms, and staff were very good and comfortable. However, the food was a big disappointment. I have stayed at this hotel many times before, and earlier the food’especially breakfast’was excellent. This time, we had breakfast for all 3 days, and not even on a single day was it decent. We also had lunch on the first day, which was a terrible experience. I informed the restaurant staff, but instead of addressing the issue, they tried to convince us otherwise. Because of this, we had all our remaining lunches and dinners at outside restaurants. I sincerely hope the management improves the food quality, as the hotel otherwise has great potential.

The hotel room was nice and I had a pleasant experience. The hotel staffs in the reception was very welcoming and accomodating.Positives:The rooms are well maintained and spacious. It had all the facilities including a mini fridge. The bathroom was huge.Negative : The hotel room is a bit old and do not have the modern touch.But that didn't affect my experience.Overall it was a real pleasant experience.

Horrible experience!!Not even worth one star.We were charged double the price of a room for an early check-in, while the hotel just across the street offers fair pricing for the same request.The room itself was filthy and definitely not up to the standard of a 3-star hotel.They wasted so much of our time by failing to give proper information. We ended up with only one room for four people and were forced to pay double the price for another. The two others had to find another hotel. If they had been honest from the beginning, we would never have booked here. Such a waste of time and money.To make matters worse, at checkout they billed us for two teas we never had. They insisted we had ordered them, only to later admit that someone had put the wrong room number on the bill.Neither the staff nor the manager spoke English, and the overall service was terrible.A total waste of money and a very unpleasant experience ’ definitely not a good start to visiting the beautiful state of Kerala.
